Week End

Posted on December 10, 2023

The weekend: Fall Term ended Friday and this weekend we were all home which meant a lot of holiday activities commenced. It was fun, but more to the point I enjoyed that we were all together during the days this weekend. Photos of goings-on below: The front of the house with a few new lights this year. The glowing balls are from my father’s place from many years ago and they still work, which is lovely. The inside of the living room, ready to go for the tree. A few snaps from the past few days – we had a nice time with a lot of down time, so Wii Switch playing, Taylor Swift Monopoly, reading and such. When they pass me, it feels like I am walking. They are good. I stopped and snapped this shot near my turnaround point near Dorris Ranch park. Lovely trail & lovely spot. I finished my run at the Provisions coffee shop near home, so I…

Water Heaters & Decoder Web Pages

Posted on February 7, 2021

So our water heater has been showing signs of failure lately: changing water temperatures, water not getting as warm as it used to, etc. I did some digging and found that (at least this brand) the serial number can be decoded to determine the age of the water heater. Who knew? Not me, anyways. The decoder was found on the website, complete with an example (which is always helpful for decoders):   Here is the label that is on our heater, which puts ours as being manufactured in October of 2006 (which is kinda old, apparently – again, who knew? Not me!):Â
