I can’t really start this off without acknowledging the intensity with which so many of us live at the moment. Things are just not easy nor understandable, really. I bury my head in the sand, in my days, in the people I interact with and just do my best at what Vonnegut said in a baptism speech he once gave:

Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies-God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.”

Though I have said we have had little rain there was a day where we got some. This stream bubbled up on one of my runs along the Ridgeline Trail near home. It was a nice sight!

From the same run – up and over the hills . . . .
