Teamwork and floats

Posted on February 6, 2023

Nora had some basketball games this weekend and I was reminded why referees are necessary boundary markers for the games we play. When there are refs, but clear violations of rules are not called, things just get out-of-hand. And they did in one game. In the other game the refs made it clear from the start that they would call penalties which kept the game in good competition. Also a float in Amazon Creek, which flows near our house as seen on my run yesterday.

Time off –

John also passed along a calendar he made from photos taken this past year, which was all bonus.

We’d been talking about running together so I invited him out to join us this past Saturday where it was 23 degrees Fahrenheit when I left my house to meet up with everyone. Hence the big gloves and balaclava around my head and face. It was a beautiful morning for a run and once we got started we warmed up well. I always run in compression socks and shorts. A uniform of sorts that just works. My Strava link on my site shows…
