Time off –

Time off affords me the opportunity to both do some much needed house projects and also to run. Today I ran with two different groups – the Big Timber Running Club group and my long-time UO Noon Runners group. After the second group run (the Noon Runners) we all went to the Hideaway baker for coffee and a danish. John also passed along a calendar he made from photos taken this past year, which was all bonus.

A few photos from the past few days: tree is acquired and up. We always wait until after Nora’s birthday, so on Sunday the 4th we headed out to a local tree farm and found this one. It’s big and “poofy,” as the word in the house would say. On campus the other day on a Facilities small truck I saw a sign with emojis – it was a small shout out to the UO Counseling Center. Well done! Zoomed: Today I met up with pal Alisa, a professor of Japanese Studies. She is just about to head there next week, as a matter of fact. Game Day

ESPN’s “Game Day” is on campus now – they arrived on Wednesday and the show starts at 6:00 am Pacific on Saturday morning. Biking in today, I snapped this, still in the dark. It looked like a rehearsal was underway or a stage check. Me? We have a soccer game to attend early, so I won’t be there . . .
