Thanks 2023

A few snaps from the past few days – we had a nice time with a lot of down time, so Wii Switch playing, Taylor Swift Monopoly, reading and such. Cold and foggy and clear outside, which lends to some good running days. Nora found the idea on Pinterest and spent a few hours making up the game board. It was fun! The main rule is that the when a property is being purchased, the song that the property is named after must be played. Good times were had. 🙂 Met these fellas on my run on Thanksgiving Day. Holiday, counseling, & translation

A few photos from the past few days: tree is acquired and up. We always wait until after Nora’s birthday, so on Sunday the 4th we headed out to a local tree farm and found this one. It’s big and “poofy,” as the word in the house would say. On campus the other day on a Facilities small truck I saw a sign with emojis – it was a small shout out to the UO Counseling Center. Seattle Thanks 2022 part 3

Final installment of the holiday weekend. Jonah and his Uncle Jon and I went to the Boeing Museum of Flight. We spent the whole day there and had a great time: A model of the lunar rover. I learned from Jonah that the lunar rover could only go as far away as the lander so that if the astronauts had to walk back to the lander, they wouldn’t run out of air. So even though it could have gone further, it was limited so the fellas survived. Interesting! This was Air Force One for Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon:

Our visit included a visit to my see my stepmom who turned 85 on Friday! Music was happening at her retirement community so we went to listen.
